My Misfortunes

Five years have passed Along with six lovers And when I look back I noticed That all of them seem to be Very much alike I guess that I am attracted To that type of woman You know The kind that makes you Pull away Never letting you get too close While all the time She creates this distance I feel as though I must make her love me more Break down the walls Let her see how good I am And how much she means to me And although I unconsciously do it This is the type of love I have repeatedly sought The type I always create Knowing that in the end She will surely go And I will be left With a new poem to write About my misfortunes
