My Lovely Parents

Once upon a time, I came to you for help. You made it worse. You took me out of my home to a foreign place. You drugged me and put me on display. You hung me out to dry. You picked me apart, and I’m still trying to put myself back together. They say that the bond between parent and child is an unburnable bridge. You’ve left your mark. You’ve made your point. You’ve burned your bridge. You are dead to me.
