In well set pots in a row Sweet flowers in clusters grow A sight, pleasing to behold As their petals they unfold A treat to adoring eyes A haunt frequented by bees Flashing colors in the sun, My heart and soul they have won. Flowers always make me glad What charm, to nature, they add Butterflies fly like flowers They dance in the day light hours They too greatly cheer my eyes They're flowers' lovely allies

how lovely your flower garden sounds. I love flowers, but they wither and die away come December. Like you, flowers, make me glad; they speak to me of the very nature of life and human existence. I could stare at them for hours, absorbing their radiance. Is that a picture of your flower garden? It's breathtaking and inviting. Splendid poem. Happy New Year, Sara

My wife loves flowers, though it's getting harder for her to take care of them. She especially loved hibiscus. Nice poem Valsa

How springy and cheery is this one. I enjoyed reading it. Flowers add such a nice touch to a home. I have seen a contest mentioned with this anacreontic in it so I need to look it up. Oh my gosh! This is so beautiful made me really breathless! Your rhymes and imagery and flow of your lines truly left me in awe captivated! You really have a way with painting imagery. And i think silent one too will love this, as you’ve done a very garden ish ambience here with your poetic word weaving. “ Butterflies fly like flowers” i just love that line! “ Flashing colors in the sun,“ wow!
