My Love Will Never Fade

Born as an infant in the dark cold world We open our eyes and cry as we look at those we love all curled Taking our first steps into you arm We know that we live life without harm Because mother when you kiss me you’re my special charm Day by day I long for your love whether I tell you or not God gave me only one shot And he hit you right on the dot You are my everything yes that is true But I do know the love I have for you is like God’s special glue You and I have good times and bad times we fought through But at the end of the day in your arms I flew You are my sunrise and my sunset Because together our voices make a duet You are my north star Because if I look in the sky you are not that far You are my light When I am lost in the darkness you shine ever so bright You are my special mother And I would never in a million years pick another The times we had were something of a story Because you and I worshiped in all of life’s glory I never thought the physical part would end But now that it has my soul is something I send I can’t believe you are gone Because I cry everyday before dawn God loved you just as much as I But I just wish I had more time to say goodbye I know you are watching over me from up high So I promise the tears I shed will be happy ones as I cry I know we are close still just like peas and a pie Now that you are with God I know you are more than happy with a smile But promise me you will pop in my dreams every once in awhile I will live my life in your light Each and every night Just know mom every time “missing you” is played I remember you always and my love for you will never fade © Jeremy Fennell
