My Little Farm

My little farm I have a little farm, in a little country place I love it, really do, it puts a smile upon my face I have cows in the meadow chewing on their cud Smelly hogs in smelly pens all slippery with mud There are sheep all around me, looking white as snow Horses filled with energy, oh, lord I love them so Many chickens scratching, searching through the straw Laying me a lot of eggs, in nests or on the floor Ducks are waddling everywhere looking all around Turkeys they are gobbling, now that’s a grating sound That’s all I have to tell you, bout my little country farm You know, I really love it, this farm with all its charm. Thank you so much for the comment Jess. yes country life is great, we now live on the outskirts of Perth and it is like living in the country, but I was raised on a farm so I do know what country life is like, if we were younger we would definitely move to the country, but we are happy where we are, take care my friend.....................Vera..............

I live in Wisconsin, and my country home is surrounded by quaint little farms. I don't have animals on my land now, but when I was young my family had chickens, goats, rabbits and a horse or two.... I enjoyed your charming poem, Vera. It brought some nice memories for me!

Hi Kelly, so nice of you to visit my site and to visit my little farm, I was raised on a farm like that and like you we had all types including cows which my mother used to milk by hand as it was the only way to get our milk, it was a lovely life, take care my friend...........Vera.................

I was born and raised on a farm. Your fine poem brought back some very sweet memories my friend! I often think about selling this house and going back to a farm to live out my remaining days! However Riza says a firm no on that. I'll not do anything to make her unhappy!! Love this gem my friend!!

I can see this as one of those children's picture books, big with a verse on one page and a picture on the other. How wonderful this would be, Vera, for parents to sit down and read this to their children. Very well written and full of imagery. loved it, my friend.

Actually Robert as I was writing this poem I was thinking of childrens picture books, thinking of drawing little animals to go with it wouldn't that be nice, it is a shame I didn't think of writing this when my grandchildren were little, they are too old now they would probably throw it in my face LoL, thank you so much for the lovely comment and take care my friend.......Vera.....
