My Life As a Caterpillar
I lazily stroll on a leaf,
carrying my fatty weight with me,
wondering how beautiful the butterflies are.
They tell me that they were once like me,
carrying their fatty weight like me,
wondering how beautiful butterflies are.
“To be like us, you will first have to stop
a caterpillar, and thinking like a caterpillar,”
they always tell me.
I leave it to fate, to see how time
re-designs me into a butterfly,
decorating the spring air…..
