My Life

When I was born, I had a mother. I had a father too. Early one morning - still being dark I saw my father leave. I ran after him and begged him not to go. I was only three years old. He didn't listen and left me standing there alone. My mother stayed for a while, but later she left too. To grow up without a father is sad, but to grow up without a mother can be really bad, especially when you know that the people that are raising you are not your real parents. We all grew up with different people. My sisters and I were given away. Being the oldest of the girls, I did a search to find them all. I found one sister first, then we both searched for the mother that gave us birth. We soon found her, she seemed sad. A second family she did have. I had a brother that was older then me, but now I had four more brothers. Two more sisters we would find. There was one that we could not find, until Dec. of 2007, we finally met. I am happy that we all met, at least we know where we came from. We see each other on and off. There are no regrets or grudges to hold, cause who am I to judge. I am no judge nor jury. There is a God that will judge us all and and he will give us what we deserve...

Gosh,if I had read this one first, I would not have guessed you had only had one sister. This is an amazingly sad story. I'm happy, though, that you guys had the desire to find each other. And I hope you grew up in a happy home nevertheless. I don't know if I could have been as close with my sisters had we not been raised together. Do you and your sisters live close to each other?

Hello, Lucilla! This is an awesome poem you've penned. A sad and happy story indeed. I can see you're a good sister with a good heart who tried to search for your brothers and sisters. I am the eldest in the family too and the only girl. My two younger brothers asked my help in their studies before that's why I can relate here. Eldest siblings take bigger responsibility. By the way, I went back your comment and I overlooked that you also work with the man in shipments. Wow! Hope you enjoy here!

Hola, Lucilla, your story, is very sad, the first four lines, hold a very sad image to them. I was raised by my adopted parents, I love the fact that I grew up in a very large family, it does has its down falls. All my biological brothers and sisters were separated except one brother. My now-parents adopted both me and my brother Oscar. We were mixed in that giant family. When I was 5, i was united with my brothers and sisters. Except one brother, whom I've never met up to this day. xoxoxox

Your wisdom shines warmly through this delicate history Lucilla - I'm sure God is proud of your strength - it is much better to focus on why people do the things they do rather than on the anger of blame - J.A.B. %

I am sure that God will judge you kindly. I was raised by my actual parents although my father passed away few years ago. I hope you hit some postcard sites on the web. It is a really good hobby - and there are people who make a living at it - I am not a dealer but I have sold quite a few articles about it. Peace & Love Matthew Anish

Great story told..Sometimes people like your father and mother try to do adult living when they are not ready but don't know that they are not ready until it is too late..Of course, the children suffer for parents mistakes..Enjoyed reading your story..If for a contest, winner for sure..Thanks for stopping by..Sara
