My Lady's Magic
The sun rises on a beautiful day,
The fog is lifted from my eyes,
The grass has dew, the chipmunks play,
Spirits are lifted to my surprise.
The sun beats down from its high-noon perch,
I greet it instead of cower,
Beautiful is the day I meet without a frightened lurch,
There is a source for this power.
The sun touches down as it sets to the west,
I’m still outside enjoying the day,
With such beauty to see I want to take the time to invest,
I feel no despair holding me sway.
The stars come out twinkling in the night,
The time when I could hide my best,
Now is the time for my lady, who is so right,
And who has put all my fears to rest.
