My Lady

Hear the roar, feel the thunder, Swim in my tears, dance to my heartbeat, My heart pains when I remember, My lady is far away, I yearn for her, To embrace her in my arms, To feel her lips on mine, Her scent, her warmth, But yet I wait, I linger, Patient to the stroke of a clock’s hand, I will see her again, We will dance in the rain, Sing with the stars, Lose ourselves in the moment, But alas, we will yet part, Inevitability cannot be escaped, A certainty unmoved, But like the moon and the stars, We shall find each other, And dance to the beats of love, But for now, I yearn, I yearn for my lady.
