My Knees Don'T Like Me

My knees don't like me very much Right now I don't like them. They use to be much friendlier When I stayed fit and trim. You don't give up on friends because They've maybe gained some weight But mercy me , if I was a three They'd take me on a date. I want them to remember To think real long and hard Replacement's in the future So I'd not go overboard. Reta Pruitt August 25,2018

Boy do I relate to this poem. I have struggled much with my knees after falling on them more than once. It takes about eight years before arthritis sets in. Living where there are lots of stairs to climb has exacerbated my problem. I finally was forced to have a knee replacement four months ago and that was the worst pain I have ever experienced because I couldn't take pain meds. I am finally out of constant pain. The other knee can wait forever. Friends who are that shallow are not friends. : )

What can I say. I guess I am a bit hard on them. I'm not looking forward to my replacements but there's really no way around it. Thanks for stopping by Connie. Best wishes, Reta.
