My Irish Lady

Her charm came from the east She was as free as the breeze Her face lit up the woods And warmed the trees My mention was on her lips Her name and mine together Destiny for two A stark beauty and me forever Irish eyes and such a smile That would outshine the sun And in her heart a place for me Full of fun Hands soft to touch And hair like ravens blood In her arms I wished to be Hidden from the flood
