My Hour Glass Figure

It's been raining for more than twenty-four hours But the rain can never dampen my spirits The sun is shining brightly in my soul I do not have special abilities I just think “positive” Anyone can do it Even you So give it a try What d'ya have to lose This resembles an hour glass And that my dear friends is what life is When the sands of time run out, think back Did you make a difference in someone else's life Or was I selfish and thought only of what's good for me Hope I can say I left earth a better place than when I arrived THINK POSITIVE!!! © Jack Ellison 2014

This is tremendous! I really enjoyed reading your awesome poem here that you have so masterfully written my friend! What a beautiful message too! I believe in thinking positive! Well Jack I wanted to read a new poem and I acted selfishly because I wanted to read something really good by an author whose name I recognized! And there you were in a most artistic way. I immediately thought Jack has so much time on his hands that I'd put him outside pulling weeds and cutting grass to make a "big difference" in his life! thanks it was delightful....

I would like to say I left life happier than when I started after writing all my Dragon story poems.... I would say better... but Dragon has a penchant for accidently tearing things down... or rather burning I should say... LOL... But he means well. Some day he'll get that fire under control. I know because Grandpa Troll told me so. And believe you me... no one neigh says a Troll! Though he does say it may be 100 years before Dragon perfects it... Sigh!
