My Gift

I am a song of wonder, Of lust and love, Drifting on the breeze, Bringing a greater understanding to all who behold my gift, At least that’s what I hope, I don’t need to be different to change the world, I already can, All I have to do is write, And let my words be seen, And hope that to someone they will make a difference, That they will show someone the world in a whole new way, A way they’ve never imagined it before, And that makes me special, All I have to do is write poetry.
