Just pondering a writer's favorite vice.
My Frenemy
My Frenemy sits beside me, cool and quiet
Even as I write this.
My Frenemy smooths my thoughts and whispers new ideas into my head
But... also robs me of recent memories,
Not to mention my general dignity.
My Frenemy is neither good nor evil,
Nor friend nor foe,
Depending upon his use,
As I suppose is true of all of us.
So we shall continue our dance for now,
Taking and giving,
Dying and living.
