My Fondest Wish

I stare across this lonely room at your picture on the shelf! All your lovely memories have me feeling sorry for myself! It's been awhile since you've been gone, but doesn't seem that way. I feel you're with me all the time, each and every day! I try so hard to carry on and do the best I can. I find it near impossible to accept it like a man! My friends and family give support to help me through these times. I know it's up to me to straighten out, and that's the bottom line! So I'll have a talk with the Man upstairs and pray He'll help me face the fact, that you're up there with him now, and you're not coming back! So, Honey, there you have it. You'll always be my wife, but, you're not with me anymore, I have to get on with my life! That is my intention, that's what I plan to do. My fondest wish when I expire, is to be, up there again, with you! Ralph Taylor 12/15/18

So well put, Ralphie, honoring Uma's memory. As I indicated in a previous comment to you, Vera passed in July and the one consolation I have is that she rests in the arms of God now free of all suffering. I wrote a poem after her passing titled "You'll Always Be My Wife" posted on soup. Take care - Bob
