My Fondest Memory
MY FONDEST MEMORY
Walking and being still
All present I can feel
Awakened by the quiet sound
Of loves beauty all around
Shadowed path of filtering rays
Sunlight shining on the day
Wispy breezes gently blow
A soft wind mild and mellow
Heavens bursting of brilliant blue
Cotton ball clouds gliding through
The sky a feast for my sight
For my heart its sheer delight
River stream waters roll
Rippling, tricking sounds unfold
A large flat rock offers a rest
To relish nature at it’s best
The sound of silence has it’s song
A melody so sweet and strong
Lying on the rock in the sun
I listen to my companion
After a while it’s time to go
I open my eyes to quite a show
A joyful, colorful, endless shower
A hill of awakened wildflowers
Such tenderness creates a tear
A sense of wonder precious and dear
Thankful for this mornings foray
I’m satisfied and on my way
Venture this pulsing vibrant valley
Where life’s love song has no finale
My favorite Hermosa trail
Never fails to lift beauty’s veil
