Believe it or not, I have never tried this dish...but it always looks so intriguing and good... enjoyed reading this, and I could imagine the gooey topping, and as you say also melts again in your mouth. Yummy. Advanced Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family, dear Connie! I hope all is well with your family! Thank you for passing by my post... sending you hugs! Thank you Lin. Now I can get some sleep! It is after 1 am here. Hard to close down the computer. It goes faster the later it gets when everyone on the east coast and mid west are sleeping. Cheers, Connie

I've been trying hard to get a first place out of you. Haha! So happy you liked this one Andrea. It is my favorite dish and I eat it instead of pie on Thanksgiving. It is the only dish I cook as my husband loves to do the cooking. Thanks so much! Hugs, Connie

Yummy...I love candied yams! I usually make a sweet potato casserole with marshmallows. I guess that's the same thing or close to it.

I love them too Rhonda. They are my desert as I don't eat pies because of the wheat in the crust. I know that there is a difference between sweet potatoes and Yams but often they are mistaken for each other even in the stores. The dark orange is the yam I am speaking of that I bake the way you do. Thanks so much!

Thanks for the luck. I haven't had too much with the contests lately, but that is my own fault. Anyway, I had to write about the candied yams as it is my favorite dish for T.G. that I eat as a desert. Blessings, Connie
