My Favorite Dish

The Dish-conjures many a description A plate, a sumptuous meal, a perfect body, a receptor for TV or A place My dish is one that has been in a film-And classed as A relic -The grand old lady of astronomy and she lives in Parkes- She is Revolutionary-She helped land man on the moon She also records many a sound from constellations and beyond She waits patiently to receive and to reply to, “Is anyone out there?” She is our echo, our coo-ee to space She is our planets ears and voice to record and send our invites to the stars- She is a dish. ©? Your favorite (or favourite) dish reads like a radio telescope. I would probably be petrified if I ever heard an intelligent voice coming from somewhere in another galaxy. You have another good write here.

This should do well, Brenda....and tells how far the world has come since my mother held up a freshly washed dish and put it back into the cupboard! We will all need newer and newer dictionarys to keep up with the various new meanings to one simple word! ps...Welcome to the Soup, Brenda...nice to see your poems!!

Yes they fascinate me too John- love looking at the stars and trying to understand all the jargon written about them and deep space. Blessings, Bren: )
