My Father

A father that shows compassion, a father that gives rules A father with the intention Of seeing his little girl go through school A father that has been there through good times and bad A father that wipes my tears everytime I'm sad A father that defends me through every trial I've been through A father that teaches me the good, the bad, the old and the new A father I could talk to whether it be good or bad Is the father I never had, and this makes me very sad For if I was blessed with a father that had wanted to be there I would have been a better person today, I swear.
