My Eyes

My eyes betray me. When I put a smile on my face they tell my story, they redden when I cry, and grow darken when I lie. My eyes will tell you a story. If you look deep inside you'll see the burden that I've carried, the scars that burned into my heart, and the cross that has saved my life. My eyes will burrow into you. When they look deep into your eyes they search for the secrets you may hide, the way that you may scurry about, behind your mind. My eyes will show you hope. If you decide to look back into mine you'll see that there is hope within the pain, a twinkle will become a mirror, for a way to become free inside.
