My Dog Rover

Today is the day, I will give my dog away. I wonder if he's sick, or if he's too lazy to play. I called the vet, $80 I cannot pay. My dog, my favorite pet, he does not want to play fetch. He never likes to get wet, today he doesn't want to play catch. I tell him to roll over, that he doesn't even want to do. When I call my dog Rover, he gives me the puppy face too. Maybe he's over fed. I don't see him wagging his tail, he just lays there in bed. Should I call the Dog Catcher, so he can stop playing dead. Sid & Son

I hope you don't call the DC. I watched my dogs die several times over my lifetime. It is never an easy thing to see, but the love they give when they're healthy, we should repay to them when they become ill. I know people sometimes don't have the money, but if at all possible, find a way to keep and care for Rover. Sad but loving poem, Skat. Much love to you.

aww poor pups, it is a bummer when our furry friends get old and move on. I did enjoy your poem though, it had a nice beat to it that made a depressing situation not so bad.

Wow,So so sad. I lost my Molly almost 15 years ago, and I'm still not over it. Don't ever take for granted the time you have. I can still see her puppy dog face in my mind. Best wishes to you and rover
