My Dog Is a Scientist
My dog is a scientist
And thought I never see
I think he has a lab set up
Right underneath me
I sometimes see him reading
The paper on the floor
Mums says it’s all in my head
But I never can ignore
At night I hear noises
And see lights from below
He’s making something special
I really want to know
Then one day I heard a noise
Coming from outside
It was giant space ship
And my dog was there inside
He didn’t see me watching
But I don’t think that he thought
That anyone was watching
Or that he would get caught
The next morning I woke up
Lying in my bed
Had I been dreaming
Was it all in my head?
And then I saw the clue
That would give him away
His reading glasses on his head
As he slept that day
I gently woke him up
And showed the glasses there
He looked a little startled
I told him I didn’t care
He told me all dogs are scientists
And live on earth in disguise
And work on secret projects
As dogs are very wise
So next time look at your dog
Take a closer look
For it probably is a scientist
Reading that mechanical book!
