My Daughter
my daughter
MY DAUGHTER HERE I HONOR THEE
IS IT? BECAUSE LIKE ME?
YOU HAVE A PARENT TO RESENT,
A PARENT, WHO THOU WELLMENT
DID PASS HIS WAYS ALONG THE LINE.
TO MAKE FAIR GROWTH A LETHAL MINE.
THAT SECRET THING THAT TROUBLES US.
TODAY, I BELIEVED.
I LOVE MY DAUGHTER,
AND LET GO OF THE THINGS AND FEELINGS
THAT STOPPED THAT LOVE FROM BEING SHARED,
I KNOW I HAVE TO TELL HER OF THESE THINGS AS SHE IS,
WILL BE, A NEW AGE WOMEN.
What are the shadows?
That she hold fast
The ones to let go of, at last
Peace is in the letting go
If I could only let her know
I’m in my shoes, not hers
I may have worn them in the past
But her finding, is her path
One day she’ll wish she had
Gone into that darkened place
And found the lighter side
With a welcome and a smile
Especially hoped for
Before I die
But more important be
her finding of
Happiness, joy, and fully free
