My Dad Cared
I lay still
at the bottom of the hill
waiting or you
to see what you do
you never show
I wish I could go
but I'm
hurt and alone
cold as a stone
dad where are you
I try to yell
but I can't
it hurts like hell
where are you
when you're
needed
I've yelled, cried begged, and pleaded.
A couple of hours later
you come across me
then you think to yourself
is she dead, alive
or asleep
you pick me up
and take
me home
to the ranch
all alone
wake up
wake up
I don't budge
I wanted you
here
earlier on
but no
you were out of town
not in our state
gone
then you explained
yourself to me
and at first I didn't believe
but thank you
anyway fore saving me
I'll love for always
my caring daddy
