My Dad
My Dad means the world to me,
A life without him I cannot see.
He taught me to be brave,
He taught me to be strong.
He taught me to behave,
And taught me right from wrong.
He is my protector,
He fights away my fears.
He comes running when I scream,
He saves the day and stops my tears.
And lets me know its just a dream.
He loves to joke,
He loves to tease.
He thinks he is a funny bloke,
I say oh ha ha please.
With loads of sarcasm, not always fair,
Then I shoot him an awfully large glare.
He laughs it off without a care.
We do not always see eye to eye,
This is true.
Sometimes even we argue.
But it does not last forever,
Family can never stay mad.
We still love each other,
He is still my Dad.
He is my Camping and Fishing buddy,
He somehow knows when things are bad.
He helps when I study,
And makes me laugh when I am sad.
He is sometimes embarrassing,
Always on queue.
But I wouldn't change a thing,
Dad I love you.
