My City

From Banksia Grove to Alfred Cove There are lovely sights to see Sorrento Quay is on the way To where my children love to play Elizabeth Quay is a brand new place That puts a smile upon my face Oh Perth is such a lovely place to be South West Australia is for me Then Midland lies there in the East And Fremantle lies in the West But every part of our grand city To me, she is the best

I haven't been to Perth but would love to visit one day. I used to live part time in Sydney and really adore the city and the climate. If it is anything like Sydney I am sure I would love it Vera. A very lovely poem you have created. Blessings, Connie

Hi Connie thank you so much for this lovely comment, Perth is not at all like Sydney, we are a lot smaller and the weather is so different, Sydney gets a lot of rain whereas Perth hardly gets any, yes I am sure you would like Perth as I would like Hawaii, take care.....Vera

Awesome poem about your place, vivid and very descriptive. I've been to Sydney (Opera House) and Queensland (Pepper's Resort) and loved the seashore. I would like to see Perth and Freemantle someday.

I'm from Tarlac province in the Philippines - my family (parents, brothers and sisters) all migrated to Australia and became Australian citizens since 1985. I was left behind because of some 5 points we missed in the immigration assessment process. My sister lives in Ingham, my other siblings live in Sydney and Canberra, nephews and nieces in Brisbane.

Cynthia thank you so much for the comment, yes we call it paradise, I also have been to Sydney and Queensland, in fact we live in Brisbane and Melbourne at one stage as Peter was in the Army, but we settle for Perth any old day, hope you are well, take care........Vera
