My Christmas Thoughts

Today, we had an in day. Fran curled up watching some movie or other. I tidied up the gardens after the recent wind and rain. Then I prepared dinner and put it in the oven. So, here I am sat at my desk and just letting my thoughts flow. So many bad things have happened in the world this year, things that most of us can only pray for to come to a safe and peaceful end. It is soon to be Christmas and then in another blink we will be in a brand new year. Thinking about the year almost gone I find myself in a very thankful mood. I am thankful for my continued good health, 70 next year! I am thankful for Fran's recovery from what started simple but ended up as a serious illness. I am thankful for the Hospital for their sensitive approach and thoroughness. I am thankful for our Saturday Seven and their much needed prayers and love. I am thankful for the people who have made our home a safe & healthy place to live. I am thankful even for the folk who have striven to harm us for they have made us stronger. I am thankful for those who made broken promises, for they made us appreciate what we have. I am thankful that our prayers have been answered and all our children are safe and well If you wake up, be thankful. If you stand up, be thankful. If you can dress, be thankful. If you eat, be thankful. If you can do all these things you have more than millions. So as we end this year and look forward to the next and all it's mysteries All that remains is to say I am thankful for My Lord God in Heaven for all His bounty and love poured out on us this year. Whether you believe in God or not, He believes in you and that is what is important. Whoever you are, wherever you are this Christmas time, I pray you have a wonderful time and that the New Year brings you good health and happiness each and every day.
