My Childs Addiction...

My child's addiction By John B Scott Is this what you really want ? Numbing your pain with pills and booze A little girl with ballerina dreams But addiction is what you choose. A beautiful girl with hope in her heart Scarred from mans indecent ways Abused and used shame took your fight Life's truths have torn you apart. Sobriety awaits for you my dear Reach out your hand and try I will be with you through thick and thin My daughter the apple of my eye.

Nicely presented write. That is a very difficult situation for parents, grandparents, other relatives, and close friends of the family in this situation. Addiction is terrible for the person because it turns them into someone they are not. They are controlled by the drug of choice. Their life is no longer their own. If this is a fact and not a topic I feel for you. It takes a want to change on the part of the person that is addicted and hard work. It is a lifetime illness. Keep writing.
