My Calling

Growing up I always knew what I wanted to be. I wanted to help people, like you and me. Some people say that all I have to do is listen, but its more than that, I let people shine and glisten. Yes, I am a counselor of kids and adults. But you see, I listen and get my results. I don't know why I am, or what I did. I've been this way ever since I was a kid. I can hear people and figure out their pain. Yet, it is hard to see the sunshine through the rain. This is the gift that was chosen for me to give. I don't just listen to people, I help them live. This isn't just a job to stop others from falling. This isn't a job, its not an occupation, its a calling. The oath I took says I will always do my best and try. I will always fight for and help others, even if it means I die.
