My Battle Scars

Tho’ my body looks like a road map Ugly scars from my head to my lap My badges of honor Without them a goner My skins just like a wrinkled gift wrap! I’ve been opened so much it’s a blur They did things to make my body purr They all saved me, back then Oh, so many there’ve been Why don’t they just put in a zipper? When doctors first look at my body Sometimes it’s hard for them, don’t you see I’ve been jumbled up so Hard to know where to go I need a north/south tattoo on me! I have made it to seventy-two I look very chopped up that is true But I stand on my own All my worries have flown Because I have a positive view!
