The music is low, as the pages unfold A dusty worn novel, on bent-spinal shores These classic old books, are my treasures of gold A narrative story, with mystery's core Latitude England, heavy with multitudes of somber descriptions, and fictional lore Chapters reread, opened with gratitude Moldy with knowledge, elegant diction Read once again, revises new attitudes Timeless depictions are viewed with conviction I find new adventures while reading each phrase Loving old heroines, claims my addiction My own place to spend time and ponder the maze and to find some conclusion, left in a daze

Evocative of a night alone, with that scirrup sound of a thickk leaf of paper being thumbed. Lovely write, Carrie, congratulations, and the winner, in my eyes. Viv x

I love the mastery of your words. I could feel the texture of the book as if I held it in my hands and smell the yellowed pages as I turned them.

Carrie, this is so wonderful. Old books are a treasure. I found one once that had an inscription about where it came from and who it was given to. I almost wept. BG
