Music

Now here we go, My love and I; Stroll with calm glow, Watch change of skies. The children play, Noise fills rapture; The adults stray, Cellphones capture. A tiny dog Strides like a toy; His master hogs This pretty ploy. Wet pavement here, Wet grassy patch; Wet these worn spheres, Wet puddles match. November rains Fling a new hue; Weather speaks plain Such aqueous cues. We find our way Through the crowds; Chinatown sway Is noisy loud. Now hand-in-hand, We take our time; Check out the trends Of eating chimes. Meal on a plate, We sit and chat; Small talk of late, Oh this and that. The years have breezed So very fast; Once in sure whiz But times don't last. Here yet today, How things do change; Let moments pay As change makes strange. My love and I, We take our time; We glimpse and sigh Like ancient rhymes. Now fifty-nine, We lived our best; Tasted life's wine, Sought love's pure fest. Now by and by, Live each day well; Laugh till we cry, Live heart's sure tell. Leon Enriquez 13 November 2014 Singapore
