Music
The voice—it consistently asks;
“Is this appropriate”;
But when that certain bass line comes;
My body twitches;
My foot begins to tap;
And I’m jumping to;
The down beat once again.
I’m supposed to be subdued;
That’s what they say;
But on the inside;
My driving wheel;
It tells me to dance;
And dance I do;
Because damn me;
If you will;
But I guess;
I’ll go out;
The way I came in;
Dancing on;
The waves;
Of my own;
Personal freedoms
