Mushrooms

Mushrooms Mushrooms are fungi that come in many beautiful colors. Unfortunately, some of them are deadly poisonous. Some of the deadly mushrooms are similar to edible ones. Horrible tragedies occur when misidentified mushrooms are eaten. Rather than eat them, take pictures; leave them to do their job. Observing and photographing the many colorful species can be exciting. Organizations exist that sponsor mushroom hunts. Many people eat only mushrooms from the grocery store. Safety First: never collect and eat mushrooms unless an expert says, “OK” © Dane Ann Smith-Johnsen February 13, 2010 Poetic form: Acrostic PLEASE CHECK OUT MY BLOG PHOTOS. There are two views of a mushroom that I cannot find in a book. Do you know what it is? It has yellow swirls on the top and the stem is bright burnt sienna. Get this! It lived for months and months!

Good advice. I enjoy a mushroom now and then but would never trust my judgement to eat a wild one. Might end up down a rabbit hole like Alice. :) nice work...Margaret

THank you for sharing this knowledge, dear Dane Ann. Unfortunately, I'm allergic to mushrooms and can't enjoy them. Safety first, is good advice! Thanks for the Soup Mail. You've very special, my friend!
