Mushrooms Mushrooms are fungi that come in many beautiful colors. Unfortunately, some of them are deadly poisonous. Some of the deadly mushrooms are similar to edible ones. Horrible tragedies occur when misidentified mushrooms are eaten. Rather than eat them, take pictures; leave them to do their job. Observing and photographing the many colorful species can be exciting. Organizations exist that sponsor mushroom hunts. Many people eat only mushrooms from the grocery store.
