Mrs Santa Claus

Mrs. Santa Claus sleeps in bed alone One night of every year While her husband flies around the world Spreading the Christmas cheer She throws an extra blanket on the bed Just for Christmas Eve Knowing it will be cold this night instead When Santa Claus takes his leave She trusts Rudolph and the other reindeer To keep him safe in flight She dresses him in his suit of red To keep him warm throughout the night She doesn’t pack him any snacks There will be cookies in every house She rubs oil on the shoes he wears So he can be quiet as a mouse Every kid in the world wants a visit from him And what a wonderful job he does But the woman who misses him most that night Is the dutiful Mrs. Claus

I enjoyed reading your beautiful poetry this morning Joe. I hope you have a wonderful weekend. I am going to see if I can write something for a couple contests this weekend. Hope you find the inspiration to do the same. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and yours. Love, Carol
