Mr. Winter

There’s something magical When snowflakes dance, When time is frozen In winter’s trance. Like a warm blanket Snow covers the ground, And not even silence Makes a single sound. Diamonds of ice Sparkle the scene, Enhancing winter’s treasure With the sun’s golden beam. The world disappears Beneath a blizzard of white, And the hardship of survival Is nature’s only fight. Strong shelters rattle As fierce winds blow, And nothing moves In the blinding snow. Mr. Winter bites harshly But arrives for a reason, Buried beneath the snow Lies the birth of a new season.

Winter is beautiful, but I like seasons where I don't have to shovel. Driving 100 miles a day, I'm not a big fan, but Christmas would feel different without the snow. Vince
