Mr Sandman

Hey Mr Sandman can you help me sleep I’ve lost the love of my life; all I do is weep Sprinkle your magic into my eye Help me forget him so I won’t cry My head hits the pillow; I have a heavy heart Never dreamed it would be so hard being apart I know I must move on, but it’s early days I miss him so much in oh so many ways I’ve spent many hours just counting sheep My head is pounding and I’m craving sleep Sprinkle moonbeams down on me Let me be at peace so I am finally free Jan Allison 10th August 2014

Mr. Sandman doesn't like poets I think, that is why we are all on edge, emotional and tired, it gets us into a poetic state of mind. Glad to hear this was fiction. Hugs sweetie :)

I think Mr. Sandman has it in for ME. He just won't help me sleep any more than five hours a night usually and it's pissing me OFF. This was a cute poem, Jan.

I've changed my sleep pattern totally since February - writing poems and having my brain not switch off doesn't help LOL. Weight loss is probably down to 'inner stress' and is being investigated but I look and feel great. Not cried since the 2 days dad was diagnosed as being terminally ill in June - you worry for me too much Tim you are a lovely friend thank you for your concern:-) Hugs Jan xxx

I'm fine Tim honestly:-) I was listening to a Kenny Rodgers song lyric was about Mr Sandman and this sad little poem popped up - its not about me - some things aren't worth getting upset over Tim! Hugs Jan xxx
