Moving On
Like the waves leaving
I lay grieving
Only to know it is time
An everlasting climb
Reaching the summit
Praying I won’t plummet
Leaving loved ones behind
Tears beginning to blind
The unchanging forward gaze
Onward to future days
Where life is new
“To thine own self be true”
