Moving On
I can see how you are doing well these days;
an hour-glass shape to crave for, and a face showing
a good diet intake. You still look innocent as I left you,
though you took my heart through hell.
You threw my heart out of the window, but I came back
to the game; as you call our relationship. I am as strong as you left me,
unmoved by heartaches and pricking memories.
.....but when I sit down at a table meant for two at a restaurant, I see couples
taking their tea with passionate joy; their eyes spelling out the name "I love you".
A moment to face the truth finally comes; I'm forced to accept I can't move on
without you. You are stuck in my soul like a tattoo.......
