Moving On

Moving On I had a good cry On this rainy dark day All I love and hold dear Is ripped out from under me I try my best to be positive And the negative creeps in Centering thoughts And silent meditation Yoga, green tea, focus on breathing The roles you play Are not the roles you are Thoughts are like clouds Floating through your mind They float in, stay a while And then disappear, never linger Don’t dwell on the past I’m told Be like the clouds Hold the thought and let it go Don’t look behind you You’re not going there Move forward, love again If no one else, then love yourself No one can take that from you If you’ve never loved deeply You’ve not loved at all Even when you risk losing Such a soul journey with another Play the roles in this game called life But remember your spirit What’s in your heart And be true to yourself You only have this life on earth Grasp your opportunities With both hands and hold on tight Take a risk or two and have no fear Don’t let this fear hold you back Have adventures, be brave And upon your deathbed Your last words can be.... “I have lived, I have loved fiercely, I have experienced wondrous adventures I have been crazy and foolish at times But I’m left with beautiful memories, Yes, what I have loved and held dear Has been ripped out from under me But I moved on, loved again, Created a new life for myself, no regrets” As I look forward to my next exciting life...
