Mother's Day In Heaven
This mother's day on earth
Will be the hardest of it's kind
Not to very long ago
We watched my mother's mom
Earn her wings and fly
Though she was my mother's mom
She was the epitome of love
Truly an angel of God
Sent down to teach us all
We learned so many things
From this wonderful humble soul
To know her was to love her
To never want to let her go
But like all angels with wings
They are truly meant to fly
That's why this mother's day
We must look up to the sky
Though in body she is no longer here
Her love it still remains
Walking around in the flesh
Inside each one of us
As hard as it is for us to bear
We really shouldn't weep
This mother's day she is in Heaven
That's the best place she could be
Rejoicing with the angels and God
And our loved ones who have passed before
Waiting until our day it comes
So she can meet us at Heaven's door
