I shall never be defined by the sins of my father, who faded like a shadow in the summer rain. I am a masterpiece of my angelic mother, whose wings are my sanctuary when I'm in pain. They say a boy needs a man in a world so wild, not me for I am happy to be my mother's child.

OMG! What a perfect example Silent. I too was raised by only my mother. I never knew my father. He never supported any of his children. This tribute to your mother I am sure will be cherished. I was very moved by this amazing piece. Bravo! : )

You are absolutely right, if a child himself is of good nature nobody can made him bad but if his nature is bad, no matter how strict you are, he ll get spoiled, your nature was nice that s why evwn without a father you didn t get spoiled, and it s again the hardwork of your mother, to make you the person you are right now, beautiful poem wih a beautiful meaning,

A beautiful poem Si dedicated to an incredible woman who made you the strong person you are today. My father was an amazing man, but his music which was his passion came first. Our Mother was our 'World'. While my Dad kept us striving to reach the moon, she let us 'play among the stars' This poem of yours is a fave for me, and Happy Fathers day to you....Maria hugs

I understand. I held grudge on my Mom throughout my life and always got shelter offered by father. Yet in my last phase, I have forgiven her. Blessing and Best wishes for you always.

You are not alone! A review of US draft registrations shows most list their next of kin as their mother (or wife) rather than their father! Bonne chance! Aloha! Rico
