Mother and Me
Mother and Me,
28 years ago you gave me life,
During this time i have brought you some strife,
But as the years past we both grew,
And its more than likely i'm still here because of you,
A difficult journey we've had to face,
I'm lucky you've been there by gods grace,
A friend that's been there when i'm in need,
A mothers job roll which you by far exceed,
A mothers caress when i'm in duress,
And although my life has little to impress,
I hope one day my ailments will relieve me,
So i can make you proud of the women ill be,
Until then all i can do is thank thee,
For being the best mum you can be,
Because you are the best mum ever to me,
So i make this vow to you and me,
That i will pray for us to both be agony free,
Although today we celebrate me,
I want to share with you my best friend my mother,
Because i no you'll always be with me.
