Mother
You passed the brink, crossed heaven's stair,
Oh Mother, Mother! Meet me there!
For nigh ten years are in between
Since your face was earthbound seen
Memories wake, such deep despair...
But Mother, Mother, meet me there
For sweet the promise, deep the Palm
My scars are His, He wields the balm
Dries tears, those tears were mine to hide
Poured from the spear wound in His side
You sought Him, thought Him, Savior Dear
And now you're with Him, He is here
He'll mend the broken, Heal the pain
And lift us up to life again
My heart was shattered, but God's grace shared
And others wounded, have sore worse fared
Much deeper wounds, than ever I
Who sought your love, and lullaby
But Mother still, a faith we share
Oh Mother, Mother! Meet me there!
