Morning Walks

As I watched She walked up to me And I surprised Myself when I heard My voice say “Let me walk with you” For the first time I saw the fire in her eyes Her true color I felt the rapture Within her soft words, She told me of family Of friends and music, And of our tomorrow… She took my hand Leading me forward I followed blindly And we walked Crowded empty sidewalks Over deserted busy streets Of olde New England We counted lanterns Starring up the evening To find If passion and love Was something To be discovered Together… Her footfall Brought me from Within my fantasy, In moments turn I dared look up And she was gone… Perhaps I should Draw my courage To look into her eyes And say… “Hello”
