Moonlight Shining

Moonlight shining Vaguely through my window Its pale serene light Ignites our path But as the nights wear on That lantern slowly fades Into eternal darkness A black envelope of lifelessness Then dim in the distance Stars shine and twinkle And as gorgeous as the moon was: Stars out shine it They carry wishes They carry hope They carry fate Both beautiful and dangerous Just as the rest of the world
