Moonlight and a River Thought
Moonlight and A River Thought
A walk down by the river to settle a worrisome thought
crazy , mixed up mind battles far too many fought
The river's passing with its soothing smooth flowing sound
brings images of angels dancing to the trumpet's sound
Rage not against fate's dark hand nor its unyielding wall
pray for abundant life, pray for gentle mercies on us all
Swift waters flowing in soft, soothing serenity
reminding of Time and perhaps even another Eternity
Moonlight upon waters each glimmering with rippled swirl
reminding of life's sweet love of a beautiful girl
Echoing splashes of fish jumping out into the sky
enjoying a bit of Nature's treasure, not asking why
A river thought, stored in the mind's deep treasure vault
Place and time, life's dream in which tis blessed to be caught
