Moon Is My Muse

Luna in grandeur, skirts the heavens by night Her beauty reflects wholly on all within sight While her crystalline brilliance expand the skies Illuminating thoughts and dreams aspire She arrests admiring eyes that micmic stars And softens hearts of the most stalwart of Bards In the realm of dreamscape, an influential muse Lighting many a pathway with the sun, her fuse Mellow is her mood and soft be her touch In calming silence she carries the torch Through pitch black nights she stands watch Stirring imaginings with emotions to match Gently, she nudges the ebb and flow of tides From granite pavillions on her chariot rides ~*~ 02/26/13 Note: For "Moon is My Muse" Contest

'Gently, she nudges the ebb and flow of tides'...What a description!... What a gem of a sonnet you have written, Annalise...I also like your idea of the moon being female, like a goddess - Tim
