Moon Half Empty

Often in solace of the night The stars far from mortal reach Mocking me they feel to be For long have I wished The ethereal form Ethereal I am not Nor will I become No matter endless nights Cowardice action And Cowardice inaction Stars begin to fall Stars themselves lie Wished on a star Yet wished upon ethereal masses My final words, My mournful woes, unnoticed go The stars dwindle As the night grows longer still Vessel half empty Yet filled past its brim The night is at its peak The stars… What stars? There is but a moon half empty There I stand Amidst the night Lost Unnoticed Searching For a moon half full.
