Moon

Chalky moon staring down upon the black night You who are so interested in life’s struggles Emotionless blank stares But you cannot hide the smiling stars So you shyly tuck yourself away behind a fog Moon, you are bold! Why hide your inquisitive face? Did you not know you are the night’s ruler? So powerful that you sometimes linger into day? You allow the sun its deserved nap And tuck away each night with inspiration So stare on, dear moon And melt the coldest of hearts!
